Facebook Users do not "Like" New Privacy Settings
"Facebook" is under fire, and not just by critics, but by the users themselves. The users of Facebook range from young tweens and teens, all the way up to seniors who need a Ouija board to connect to most of their old friends! But this popular social networking site is not just for connecting with old friends, people can also play popular games such as Farmville on it too. As of early April, Facebook had over four hundred million users, that's a lot of people! And when each of those people joined Facebook, they signed an agreement stating that the privacy policy could change at any time. Most of those people didn't even read the whole thing! But when somebody finally did, and found out that Facebook would remember their search history in order to provide advertisements that they might actually click on, people got pretty angry. So some people who are being referred to as @mmilan and @josephdee. They didn't include more to their identity because they want to stick to the situation at hand. There is also a comment section at the bottom with strong supporters from both sides of the argument. Some people are so "die-hard Facebook" that I can't even quote them onto here because of it! But want to know just how much danger Facebook is in? The San Francisco Chronicle's Business Insider Blog had a post title saying, "Uh-Oh, 0.00000068% Of Facebook Users Promise To Quit On May 31." (By clicking on the post title, it will take you to the blog's post). Less than one percent is not going to be detrimental to Facebook's popularity. Honestly, I think that all the quit Facebook hype will attract users to find out why people want to quit Facebook. So why don't you be the judge? Go to http://www.quitfacebookday.com/ and decide for yourself whether or not you can bring yourself to quit Facebook.
